Kurt Herrmann was Chief Compliance Officer of ABB Group from 2000 to 2005, with responsibility over some 55 Compliance Officers world wide. In this position, he also represented ABB in the Partnering against Corruption Initiative (PACI) of the World Economic Forum, and served as ABB Liaison Officer for the 10th Principle of the UN Global Compact. Prior to taking this position, from 1978 to 2000, he was the CEO and (199-2000) Chairman of the ABB Export Bank, a institution specialised in financing ABB clients world wide, after having been Section Head of the Commercial Directorate of BBC Brown Boveri from 1966 to 1978. Kurt Herrmann is particularly knowledgeable in compliance matters in the power and oil&gas industries and with regard to the issues of agents and intermediaries.
