Daniel Thelesklaf joins ICAR

We are pleased to announce that Daniel Thelesklaf will join the International Centre for Asset Recovery (ICAR) in January 2008. Daniel will be in charge of the ICAR's AML and asset tracing work. A Swiss national and a lawyer by profession, Daniel was the first Director of  the Swiss Financial Intelligence Unit (FIU) from 1998 to 2000. Since then, he has worked in various AML/CFT and anti-corruption projects, mainly in the Caribbean, Eastern Europe and CIS countries. He was further the Head of the Due Diligence Unit (AML regulator) in Liechtenstein, was involved in setting up the FIUs of the Bahamas, Ukraine, Macedonia, Kosovo and other countries, and is a regular organizer of AML/CFT conferences and training seminars. Daniel speaks German, French and English.
