Eelco Jacobs holds an MSc in State, Society and Development from the School of Oriental and African Studies (SOAS) in London. Before joining the project Eelco worked as a freelance analyst and consultant on public and global governance for thinktanks, NGOs and multilateral organisations in Britain, Tanzania and the Netherlands.  He also has experience from the Organisation for Security and Cooperation in Europe in Kyrgyzstan, working on anti-corruption projects and the International Labour Organisation, tracking the implementation of the One UN reforms. His current research interests include the enhancement of accountability mechanisms to counter corruption in Tajikistan’s health system.
