Nina Schild graduated from the University of Basel in 2003 and holds a master in Biology. Nina previously worked at the Swiss Tropical Institute in Basel (as a student and later as a Junior Public Health Specialist) where she gained experience in different fields: parasitology, drug development as well as in health systems research. She joined ICAR as research assistant in November 2006.
After participation in the diploma course in health care and management in tropical countries (HCMTC) at STI in 2005 she joined the Swiss Centre for International Health (SCIH) where she gained practical experience in the field of Public Health. She was involved in quality improvement and human resource development in the area of family medicine in Tajikistan.
