Gladis Jovita Alave Torres joined the Basel Institute in September 2023 as a Financial Analyst in the Green Corruption Programme. Gladis is based in Lima, Peru.

Gladis is an accountant and lawyer with more than 10 years of experience in the field, many of them as an accounting expert for the special team of the Peruvian Public Ministry in charge of investigating corruption related to the Odebrecht company. She has extensive experience in the analysis of financial and accounting documentation in complex investigations related to corruption crimes against public officials.

Gladis holds a Bachelor's Public Accounting from the José Faustino Sánchez Carrión University of Huacho and two Master's degrees from the Federico Villareal University of Lima, one in Financial Auditing and one in Criminal Law.
