Helena Wood is an independent consultant in financial crime and asset confiscation. She works with public, private and third sectors to improve responses to tackling financial crimes through the use of financial intelligence. She is also an Associate Fellow of the Royal United Services Institute (RUSI) in London, with research interests in the UK’s activity under the Proceeds of Crime Act 2002 as a means of tackling serious and organised crime. Prior to moving into consultancy in 2015, she held a number of roles in UK government and law enforcement, including at the National Crime Agency, Assets Recovery Agency, HM Treasury and Charity Commission.
