Media, social media and external communication

At the Basel Institute, we’re always happy to see our impactful work and collaborations in the news or being championed by others. However, we wish to ensure the information is accurate and that confidential discussions remain confidential. Please abide by the following simple guidelines and contact us with any questions.

Social media

Keep up with our news by subscribing to our monthly newsletter and engage with us on LinkedIn, Facebook and our WhatsApp Channel.

Media

Interviews: We are generally willing to consider requests for interviews or expert opinion related to our areas of work, but we may not be able to do this under very tight time pressure. Where requests are granted, we ask any quotes or references are sent to us for approval before publication.

Basel AML Index: We offer free access to our Basel AML Index Expert Edition (Plus) service for media organisations and practising independent journalists. The online tool offers rich data on money laundering and terrorist financing risks in 203 jurisdictions, based on 17 risk indicators.

External communication

Non-public events such as bilateral meetings or invitation-only discussions are in general not to be publicised.

Please do not share photos, quotes or other references to these events without prior and explicit approval by a senior member of the Basel Institute (President or member of the Management Group) or the Communications team.

Use of logo and branding

Use of logos and branding of the Basel Institute on Governance or International Centre for Asset Recovery is strictly subject to explicit written approval. This includes flyers, publications, websites, event announcements and all other online or offline content.

Please contact the Communications team describing how, where, when and why you wish to use our logo. If approved, we will provide you with links to download the relevant files and simple guidance on graphic design aspects.
