On February 7th 2012, Transparency International published the National Integrity Systems Assessment for Switzerland. The Basel Institute on Governance contributed to this study through research and the compilation of three of the twelve pillar-chapters.
The National Integrity System (NIS) assessment approach provides a framework for analyzing both the extent and causes of corruption in a given country as well as the effectiveness of national anti-corruption efforts. The project involved both desk research as well as interviews with experts from the different pillars both of which fed into the final analysis of this study.
